Sonaura

The brief

Sonaura is a specialist energy consultancy working across two key audiences: Industrial Power Users seeking long-term savings through renewable infrastructure, and landowners interested in hosting solar or energy storage projects.

They came to us with a growing reputation, but a website that didn’t reflect their expertise, clarity or professionalism. It lacked structure, confused prospective clients, and didn’t support their distinct service areas. They needed a new platform that could grow with them, guide users with confidence, and convert well-qualified enquiries.

The challenge

Sonaura’s offering is clear internally, but complex from the outside: different audiences, different needs, and a sector filled with jargon and opacity.

Their old site treated everything the same — creating friction for users, confusion around services, and missed opportunities. Content was hard to manage, and there was no clear path for enquiries. The team also needed to make updates easily without relying on developers.

The approach

We started with a deep dive into Sonaura’s audiences, unpacking motivations, decision points, and key hesitations. From there, we developed a content strategy that clearly segmented the two user types, Industrial and Land, guiding them from “what is this?” to “how do I get started?” with tailored copy and calls to action.

We mapped the entire site architecture from scratch, prioritising simplicity and authority. In design, we aimed for quiet confidence, minimal but not cold, professional but not corporate.
On the build side, we created a modular WordPress site with custom blocks, giving the team full control over services, adding new team members, FAQs, and updates without breaking layouts.

The outcome

The new site gives Sonaura a professional, trustworthy digital presence that supports their long-term growth. It separates audiences without splitting the brand, delivers clarity where there was confusion, and gives the internal team tools they can actually use.

Early feedback from clients has been overwhelmingly positive, and internal workflows are now much more efficient, from responding to enquiries to publishing updates.
